Vegan events in Ireland

The 30-day global plant-based challenge. ~30 million people signed up worldwide in the 2025 cycle; Irish participation has grown every year since 2018 with restaurants, cafés and brands joining the campaign with dedicated menus and Veganuary deals.

The global vegan awareness day on 1 November (the date the Vegan Society chose its name in 1944). Irish restaurants run deals, cafés feature vegan specials, and there are usually public events in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

Earth Day events across Dublin — talks, picnics, sustainability stalls. Several Irish vegan brands run Earth Day deals; restaurants often offer plant-based discounts.

Annual UK + Ireland awareness week run by the Vegetarian Society, with rolling Irish restaurant participation. Many vegan-friendly venues add temporary vegan-only menus.

Ireland's largest dedicated vegan festival. ~100 exhibitors across food, beauty, fashion and lifestyle, plus cooking demos, talks and a kids' zone. Two-day weekend event at the RDS.

Cork's annual vegan festival — food stalls, brand showcases, talks. Smaller and more community-led than the Dublin event but a fixture of the Cork vegan calendar.

West-of-Ireland vegan festival. Food trucks, brand stalls, cookery demos and live music. Free entry historically.

Northern Ireland's flagship vegan festival, held at the historic St George's Market. Food, drink, lifestyle stalls and cooking demos.

Free community picnic in the Phoenix Park, organised annually by the Vegan Society of Ireland. Bring a dish to share, plus food trucks, talks and a community vibe.

Dublin's longest-running farmers market with a strong vegan stall presence — Fully Free Ireland cashew cheese, sourdough, vegan baked goods, hot vegan food trucks. Open year-round.

Limerick's covered weekend market with multiple vegan stalls — falafel, smoothies, baked goods, vegan cheese. The Saturday market is the busiest day with the widest stall mix.

Cork's covered Victorian market with several vegan-friendly traders — On the Pig's Back has vegan options, plus dedicated vegan delis and bakers.

South Dublin Saturday market with regular vegan food trucks, plant-based bakers and indie vegan brand stalls.

Monthly Sunday market in the Liberties. Mix of vintage, art and food — usually 4-6 vegan food trucks and a couple of vegan baker stalls.

Galway's iconic Saturday market beside St Nicholas' Church. Several vegan food stalls — falafel, vegan curry, baked goods — alongside organic produce.

Annual pre-Christmas vegan market — gifts, hampers, vegan-mince pies, mulled wine. Has rotated venues in recent years; check social closer to the date.

Friendly local Saturday market in north Dublin. Reliable vegan stalls — falafel, plant-based bakes, fermented foods.

Cork's biggest weekly farmers market. Several vegan stalls including vegan cheese, hot food trucks, baked goods.

Rotating supper-club pop-ups hosted by various Dublin vegan chefs across borrowed restaurant kitchens. Tasting-menu format, BYOB often allowed. Tickets via Eventbrite, typically €40-60.

Communal brunch hosted in different Dublin cafés each month. Set menu, vegan only, usually €25-35 with coffee + a starter + a main + a sweet.
